SMS Opt-In Consent – TakeCharge Powerbank Rental
Exact workflow submitted to Twilio Toll-Free Verification – December 2025

When a customer rents a powerbank they go through the following opt-in process:

1. Customer scans the QR code on the rental station or opens the TakeCharge app
2. Customer is shown a screen with a phone number input field
3. Directly on the same screen the following consent message is clearly displayed:

“By providing your phone number and tapping ‘Start rental’, you explicitly agree to receive transactional SMS messages from TakeCharge, including:
• One-time verification codes
• Rental confirmation and status updates
• Return reminders and overdue notifications
• Payment and refund confirmations

Message & data rates may apply. You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP.”

4. Customer must tap the “Start rental” button to continue

No rental is started and no SMS is sent without this explicit opt-in.
